It doesn't. Gear rankings in the picker are based on the geometry / spec / persona match for your room — not on which retailer pays the highest commission. We deliberately do not weight rankings by commission rate. If we ever do, we'll say so plainly here.
This site is required by the FTC (US), the EU Omnibus Directive, and equivalents in other markets to disclose affiliate relationships. We'd disclose them anyway.
